This image is the epitome of right place at the right time. Taken in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the back yard of the home I was staying in at the time. I saw a massive gang of elk getting ready to cross the riverbed and wanted to try and cut them all off to get some shots of them. I jumped down off of a rock wall to the riverbed and I soon as I landed, I heard a thud. That thud was this elk also jumping off the rock ledge to the riverbed. We both looked at each other quickly, as we were both taken by surprise. I had about 5-7 seconds of the elk standing still until it ran off, this was my capture.

Taken with my Canon 6D at the time and 24-105 lens. Minimum post processing done. One of my favorite images captured to date.
